Case Task Queue

Use the Cases list as a daily work queue by sorting, filtering and reviewing cases by their next task.

The Cases list is the starting point for task triage. Use the real controls shown here rather than treating the queue as a separate module.

What the task queue is

The task queue is the normal Cases list used as a work queue. It helps officers and supervisors see which cases need attention without opening every record one by one.

Use it at the start of a shift, before bulk review, or when following up overdue work. The list keeps the case ID, name, case owner, subject, potential violation, category, status, sub-status and task indicators together so decisions stay tied to the case record.

Open the cases list

Open Cases from the left navigation. Use the search field when you already know a case ID, vehicle name, subject or related detail. Use My Cases for your own assigned work and View All when checking the shared queue.

  1. Open Cases from the CORE side navigation.
  2. Use My Cases to focus on your assigned work.
  3. Use View All when supervising a shared queue.
  4. Use Filter or Map when the queue needs to be narrowed before review.
  5. Use search when you already know the case ID, name, subject or related detail.

Read the real task indicators

The Cases list uses status columns and task icons to show what kind of work may be waiting. The list includes indicators for areas such as data enrichment, enforcement, print status and tasks. Hover or open the row when the icon alone is not enough context.

Use the status and task columns as prompts for the next review step. They are not a replacement for opening the row or case when the decision needs evidence.
Screen areaHow to read it
Case ownerShows whether the case has an owner or still needs assignment.
Status and sub-statusShows the workflow position before you decide the next action.
Data enrichmentShows whether enrichment is waiting, complete or not required for that record.
Print statusHelps staff see whether a notice or document state needs attention.
TasksShows task icons for the row. Use it as a prompt to expand or open the case, not as the only evidence for a decision.

Expand a case row

The row expander keeps evidence photos and key case context in the queue before staff move into a deeper review workflow.

Use the row expander when the task indicator is not enough context. The expanded row shows evidence photos, subject and contact context, and related case panels without immediately leaving the queue.

If the record needs a decision, open the case record and follow the case review workflow. Do not treat this queue page as the full review process.

Use queue shortcuts

Queue shortcuts open the cases table with filters set, so staff can move from workload triage into the right case list.

Use queue shortcuts when you need to move from a broad cases list into a filtered work list, such as open, overdue or unassigned cases. Open the queue first, then review the records in the cases table before taking action.

  • Open one case when evidence, owner details or status history need checking.
  • Use Bulk Case Review only after the list has been narrowed to the right set of cases.
  • Switch workflow guides when a control opens a different screen or review flow.
  • Do not decide from an icon alone; expand the row or open the record when the next action is unclear.

When the queue looks wrong

If a case appears in the wrong place, check the case owner, status, sub-status, due state and case-flow configuration. A task queue is only useful when case flows and task templates create the right next action.
