Cases
How do I review a case?
Open a case, check the evidence, confirm the subject and location, understand the current status and choose the next action.
How do I find the right case?
Open Cases from the left navigation. Use the list when you need to find a compliance matter, check whether it is yours, and decide which record needs attention first.
- Use Search when you already know the case ID, subject, plate or related detail.
- Use My Cases for your own assigned work and View All for the shared queue.
- Use Map, Sort and Filter before opening a large set of records.
- Use the status, sub-status, print status and task columns to choose the case you need to review.
How do I review the case before acting?
Start at the top of the case and work down. The goal is to understand what happened, what evidence is attached, who or what the subject is, and whether the case already has an infringement or follow-up history.
| Review step | What to check |
|---|---|
| 1. Status | Confirm the current status and sub-status before doing anything else. |
| 2. Evidence photos | Check what was captured and whether the image supports the case context. |
| 3. Case summary | Read the case ID, case name, violation, subject, owner and created time. |
| 4. Details and location | Check the offence, category, coordinates, map context and subject fields. |
| 5. Contacts and custom fields | Check whether owner, contact or organisation-specific fields are complete. |
| 6. History | Look for earlier notes, tasks, documents or record details before choosing the next step. |
How do I check what status comes next?
Click another status when you need to understand the path ahead. In preview mode, Enforced, Appealed, Closed and Archived show their sub-statuses without moving the case. Use Back to current to return to the actual case state.
How do I check the evidence?
Use the photo panel and case summary together. Check what was captured, where it was captured, what subject was identified and whether the visible case details match the evidence. Do this before editing fields or preparing an infringement.
How do I fix missing or incorrect details?
Use the inline edit controls on the case screen. Edit Details, Edit Location, Edit Subject, Add owner data, Add Contact and Edit Values reveal the fields in place with Cancel and Save controls.
How do I choose the next action?
Once the evidence and context are clear, choose the action that matches the work: add a note, create a task, issue an infringement, print, export, filter the history or open record details.
